Three world-renowned poker pros sign up with Asian Poker Tour
Three world-renowned poker players have signed up as ambassadors of the prestigious Asian Poker Tour (APT) brand.
According to the press release, World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner and World Poker Tour (WPT) titlist J.C. Tran, Quinn Do and Nam Le will officially represent the APT on the global poker circuit.
This announcement was made after Le won the APT Macau High Rollers event, pocketing a hefty paycheck worth $474,358. Do, on the other hand, finished third with $153,846.
Le commented that becoming part of APT has doubled his happiness, considering that he also won a poker tourney.
"I'm truly delighted to have won and so happy to have gotten my deal with the APT off to the best possible start. I'm looking forward to representing the Tour around the world. It wasn't looking great for me in this tournament at one stage, but I was always confident that I would bounce back," he said.
Le had numerous WSOP cash finishes and won his first career WPT title in 2006. Tran recently got his first career bracelet during this year's WSOP. He also won the main event of the 2006 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), thus making him a force to reckon with on both online and live poker tournaments. As for Do, he already won his first bracelet during 2005 WSOP.
AsianLogic CEO Tom Hall said: "We have big plans for these guys and are happy they signed with us to spread the word about the APT worldwide. We expected success, but such a [big] result for two of the ambassadors so quickly is brilliant."
AsianLogic currently owns and operates the Asian Poker Tour brand.
